Junior High Student Ken Chang Wins Gold at the International Junior Science Olympiad, Bringing Glory to Taiwan with Team Achievements
Ken Chang, a ninth-grade student from our school, represented Taiwan with exceptional performance at the 2024 21st International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO). Competing against 303 students from 51 countries and regions, he not only won a gold medal but also achieved an outstanding overall ranking of second place, bringing great honor to Taiwan on the global stage.
To celebrate this extraordinary achievement, our school’s Principal, Lai Cheng-Tsung, along with Ken’s classmates and teachers, traveled to the airport this afternoon to welcome him back in a heartfelt homecoming ceremony. The atmosphere at the airport was filled with warmth and pride, as teachers and students enthusiastically held banners and presented bouquets to celebrate the return of this remarkable young scientist. Principal Lai personally praised Ken for his exceptional accomplishments and expressed deep gratitude for the honor he has brought to both the school and Taiwan.
