Q: | Can my child attend Cornell Elementary or Junior High School if we’re not living in the school district? |
A: | Students are not restricted by the school district boundaries. All who meet the age requirements are eligible to apply and study here. |
Q: | How can I apply for my child to study at Cornell Elementary and Junior High School? |
A: | Annually in March, a seminar for 1st and 7th grade admissions is conducted. A placement test is also administered at this time. Please call for detailed information regarding this event. |
Q: | Does Cornell accept transfer students? |
A: | In the event that vacancies become available at the end of a semester, students who wish to transfer are eligible to apply for admissions. Transfer students who apply for elementary School (2nd to 6th grade) or Junior High School (8th to 9th grade) must take a placement test and provide full academic records from their previous schools. Admissions will be prioritized based on placement test scores. |
Q: | Does Cornell accept foreign nationals or Taiwanese students returning from studying abroad? |
A: | Cornell Bilingual School administers a dual language education system comprised of English and Mandarin classes. With this in mind, students are placed in classes based on their academic level and scholastic ability after careful evaluation on an individual basis. |
