Continuing the Tradition of Love: Lighting Up Society Through Action
Cornell has always emphasized the responsibility of integrating education with society. Through annual charity events, students learn the values of respect and gratitude. This year marks the sixth Charity Event, and we have partnered with the Genesis Social Welfare Foundation and the Down Syndrome Foundation R.O.C. to continue our commitment to social engagement.
Through activities such as charity bazaars and fundraising fairs, students actively participate in raising donations and experience the value and meaning of helping others. Junior high school students took the lead by preparing vegetable pancakes, applying their skills meaningfully. Their efforts not only showcased their expertise but also conveyed kindness. The combined dedication of students, parents, and teachers created a warm and compassionate atmosphere on campus.
Since the first charity event in the 2016-2017 academic year, Cornell has collaborated with numerous public welfare organizations. Donations have supported a variety of disadvantaged groups, demonstrating Cornell’s broad and profound commitment to social care. Each year, fundraising campaigns allow students to contribute to helping others through concrete actions, deepening their understanding of the importance of social engagement.
Charity is more than just donations; it is also a form of education. Cornell will continue to nurture students with love and action, fostering their growth in knowledge and character. Our mission is to cultivate future citizens who possess empathy and a strong sense of responsibility.
